For a safe practice you should follow the instructions carefully, never practice while you’re intoxicated, be mentally present when you practice, and listen to your own body and mind. You are your own true teacher, we are just here for inspiration.

Make sure to practice in a safe physical, mental and psychological environment. For example (but by far not exclusively): breathing practices should never be executed in or near water, exiting breathing practices shouldn’t be executed when you’re mentally agitated, meditation and breathing practices should be executed in a place where you feel safe and know that you won’t be disturbed, and for physical yoga practice (asana) you have to make sure that there is nothing in your near surroundings that can hurt you if you fall! Make sure to do a warming up before a yoga practice. And don’t use candles or incense during any of these practices, especially not when you’re not watching them.
